I’m still in bliss.. here’s why:
Che and i have been talking about marriage for about a year na.
Well, we’ve been together for almost 8yrs. Then last Easter Sunday
(my last day in manila for the summer vacation), on our way home
after we had dinner with friends, we talked about it again and he
said magstart na ako magcanvass for the wedding so we know how much
we expect to spend on our wedding. I started canvassing nga for
prices ng mga venues but all along his mom pala was canvassing for
the available date as well. (Yeah, she was canvassing na even before
that, mas excited pa sya sa amin ikasal. One of those days when i
was in manila, she even asked me kelan ba plano namin magpakasal,
gusto ko nga sabihin ‘tita, ung anak nyo po tanungin nyo’ hehe).
Anyway, we realized ganun pala tlga katagal magpabook so that led us
to start booking for the church and reception venue (umuwi pa nga
ako to check it out myself) kasi baka abutan pa kami ng tagulan
months next year and we wanted garden wedding tlga.
I have always dreamt of having a romantic proposal and getting a
perfect ring. Inggit ako pag nagkukwento ung iba about proposal.
Pano na un wala man lang akong ikukuwento sa mga anak at apo ko!
Wala na akong history kasi nagpaplan na kami wedding. Wala na akong
kawala. Technically, i said ‘yes’ to the proposal na hehe. A common
friend even told me, baka sa honeymoon na raw magpopropose! hmp!
Ayun, last wk, he told me he wanted to visit me here. I was supposed
to go home last month kaso ang mahal ng fare sayang and i’ll be home
next weekend anyway. Eh he said he wanted to have a vacation daw
kasi more than a month na sya nagwowork as in without break (even on
sat and sun). So sige ok lang, he deserves it. On his first night
here, we had dinner at a fine dining resto. It’s a small, cozy
european resto and the food is superb! There were only 3 couples at
the resto that night (including us) and the other one was Mayor
Duterte and his date. 
While we were having the dinner, may kinuha
sya sa pocket, and then covered with his fist he handed it over to
me. Para akong sira, sobrang gulat.. Guess what, papel lang pala!
Itapon ko daw. Kainis! Tawa ako ng tawa. He was also laughing too
and pretending na di nya alam bakit ako tawa ng tawa. He asked,
bakit kala mo ba ano un?! Ayun, we left the resto with our stomachs
full but no engagement ring on my hand.
That same night, while i was chatting, he handed over a paper ring
(yeah ung ginupit sa magazine! yun pala reason bakit naghanap sya ng
scissors!). As in ung malaki pang ring and may butas sa gitna karsya
ang 3 fingers. Hmp! Another attempt na asarin ako! hehe.
Then Thur afternoon, we went to SM, naglalakad kami when i mentioned
na nung kinuwento ko sa friend namin ung kagabi eh sabi nya ’sana di
mangyari sa akin yan’. Eh while we were walking asa left side pala
namin ung Unisilver. Ayun sabi nya, ’sige nga para matigil na tayo
ayan pumili ka ng gusto mo’. The rings at unisilver cost P320 lang
no! haha sobrang tawa lang kami ng tawa. 3rd attempt na asarin ako!
Tas napadaan kami sa isang authentic gold and diamond jewellry shop.
He said ayan tingin ka, sabi ko ‘oh sige may gusto ako dyan eh..’
hehe. He saw the only ring that i wanted. Tas sabi nya ‘ano bilhin
na natin ung unisilver’. i said, ‘Kala ko ba Filigranasia (store
similar to unisilver) mo ako bibilhan?’ and we were laughing. It so
happens ulit asa left namin ung Filigranasia..
Iniwan ko sya sa mall and i went back to the ofc kasi may urgent
lang ako pirmahan. We had grocery tas hinatid ko sya sa house kasi i
needed to do something sa ofc. Pagbalik ko mga 630pm na he’s almost
done cooking. Paninindigan nya tlga pagiging ‘house’band ko hehe.
After namin magpray, sabi nya ‘Loves, i think di ka makakakain.’
Sabi ko ‘bakit naman?’. He said ‘Eh iiyak ka lang ng iiyak.’ Huh? I
asked again why. He said ‘Kasi sobrang masasarapan ka sa luto ko
and… then he gave me the ring. He even popped the question ‘will
you marry me?’. Sobrang tuwang tuwa ako. I kept crying tlga.. The
ring looks exactly the same as the one that i wanted dun sa store
kanina. I even asked him several times kung this afternoon lang ba
nya binili. Sabi nya hindi daw he bought it in Manila and he had it
since his bday last month (kala daw nya i will be home dun sana nya
plan ibigay). Super happy ako..
Eto pa..
- He didnt propose at the resto the other night kasi daw baka
magiiyak ako dun nakakahiya andun si Mayor. hehe.
- He almost wanted to ask me to buy na the ring that i want dun sa
isang jewellry shop tas he will get the ring from his pocket and i
will be so surprised that it looks exactly the same (he was claiming
though mas mataas ang carats nito hehe).
- He also planned on giving me the ring when my dad is here (dad
will be here today) and formally ask my hand sa dad ko and give it
to me with my dad as a witness.
- He also planned on giving it to me on my sister’s debut in july so
witness ang entire family ko but he said baka raw di ko na sya
ihatid sa airport kapag wala syang binigay na ring sa akin in his
stay here. haha!
I’m soo happy.. sobrang haba na nito. At least i have a kwento sa
mga magiging anak and apo ko on how nagpropose ang loving husband
ko. Kwela at classic.
